Hi, I’m Karen Crenshaw, chief strategist and storyteller at Blue Sky Effect.

A quick study with a can-do attitude, my singular goal is to help clients elevate their thinking to uncover unique perspectives — and create hard-working strategies that lead to fantastic results. 

Combining conceptual and analytical thinking — I always keep a clear line of sight to customers’ needs, motivations and emotional triggers to execute feats of high-flying strategic derring-do. When needed, I have a cadre of talented partners on tap who extend the Blue Sky Effect even farther — like-minded colleagues with deep expertise in strategy, identity, design, research, culture and more.

When I’m not weaving stories, I am in my studio weaving cloth and dyeing fabric with natural dyes and plants. My focus on literacy and the joys of the written word led me to my role as president of the Friends of Marfa Public Library for the last five years. I have an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Columbia Business School.
